Arthritis Relief

What is arthritis

The word ARTHRITIS means inflammation of the joint. arthritis symptoms include pain, stiffness, redness, heat and often swelling in the inflicted areas.

Arthritis is a condition which affects the smooth movement (free movement) of the joints. When the joints are not moving freely than the joints become inflamed. When the problem becomes severe enough, it is diagnose as arthritis. Arthritis can affect a person at any age. Sometimes the symptoms of arthritis are called rheumatism. Eight classes of arthritis and related conditions have been identified. These are:

Inflammatory – the membrane of the joint becomes irritated

Attachment Arthritis – frequently in the heels and lower back, the ligament or tendon fastened to the bone becomes irritated

Crystal Arthritis – the big toe has deposits of microscopic crystals of sodium urate

Joint Infection – bacteria contaminate the fluid inside the joint, usually found in the hip, shoulder and knee

Cartilage Degeneration – usually found in the knees, neck, lower back, hips and fingers, this type of arthritis arises when the cartilage of the joint breaks down

Muscle Inflammation – muscle tissue becomes inflamed

Local Conditions – a local injury causes pain, such as tennis elbow

General Conditions – a condition characterized by generalized muscle pain and sleep disturbance.

Inside healthy joints, the ends of the bones are covered with a tough tissue called cartilage. This cartilage is smooth and slick, so the bones can move easily. Inside arthritic joints, the cartilage becomes rough and pitted. As the joints wear down, calcium deposits, spurs and swelling may develop. This restricts the movements of the joints and causes pain and inflammation.

What causes arthritis and How can I get long term relief (without drugs or surgery)?

Removing and/or reducing the cause of arthritis is the cure for arthritis.

The cause of arthritis will be either Physical, Chemical, and/or Emotional Stress. The cause will always be based on 1,2, or all 3 factors (Physical, Chemical, and/or Emotional Stress). The cure for your arthritis will be based on removing the problems that cause the arthritis, so your body is given the opportunity to heal itself.

PHYSICAL STRESS  E.g. Poor posture, excess weight, slips and falls, motor vehicle accidents, work involving prolonged repetitive movements.  The solution to reducing or fixing the physical stress is to get your posture fixed by a Spine specialist. E.g. Doctor of Chiropractic. The doctor of chiropractic will be able to asses your posture and life style to determine the problems and how to best fixed the problems.
The chiropractor (doctor of chiropractic) will offer specific gentle chiropractic adjustments to help return normal motion and position to “stuck” or fixated spinal joints. The adjustments has been shown to be effective in reducing pain, improving joint mobility and increasing muscle flexibility for arthritis sufferers. The Chiropractor will also recommend stretches, exercises, and aids available to help improve mobility and range of motion in people with arthritis. Activities such as yoga, swimming and specific gentle joint mobilisation exercises can also be beneficial.

CHEMICAL STRESS  E.g. Poor nutrition, regular (daily to weekly) use of prescriptive &/or non- prescriptive drugs.  The solution to reducing or fixing the CHEMICAL STRESS is consume food that is close to its nature. E.g. Fresh fruits and vegetables. Get help from a nutritionist that specialise in natural food. Avoid nutritionist that prescribe pharmaceutical chemicals (as this will only offer temporary relief while letting the problems get worse).  Do regular exercise 3 to 5 days each week of walking, swimming or exercise that is gentle and improves your heart & blood circulation. So the good nutrition your putting into your body will circulate and begin to heal your body.

EMOTIONAL STRESS  E.g. Bad Self Image, lonely, depressed.  The solution to reducing or fixing the EMOTIONAL STRESS is to surround yourself with people and things you love daily. Happiness is when you regularly (daily) do things you love and associate with people that you love.

Removing and/or reducing the cause of arthritis is the cure for arthritis. The above 3 methods will help you achieve long term relief from arthritis while avoiding the side-effects of drugs (medications), injections and/or surgeries.
